Burn

Featured in _EMI – The Group on 10.11.2009

I travelled a road unknown,beckoning;
Stumbling and falling, still I went on;
My heart was a book: closed, shut tight
My soul was adrift, aimless, just floating.

I wondered what lay around the next bend,
What hid behind the next hill in my sight.
Curious always, knowledge I seek,
Learning, to help me feel complete.

You walked the same road but purpose was yours
Loneliness there, hidden from most.
Your soul craved emotion, passion and love
Eventually it came, but, long was it’s coming.

You burn with desire
Your soul is on fire;
You’re caught in the middle
Of a white hot pyre.
You burn . . .Burn . . . BURN!

We walked side by side, unknowing, unseen,
But Fate had a favour to gift us both with.
Surpise was in store, behind a bright door
Enticing, beguiling, that door: I stepped through.

And there followed laughter, songs for my day
Brightening my heart, soothing my soul.
Embers are stirred, dormant so long
Wandering wondering; my heart, I can’t show.

Friendship blooms, strong and so bright
It gives my soul ease while desire burns hot.
Now I must find one who can give
That which I need to quench my fire.

I burn with desire
My soul is on fire;
I’m caught in the middle
Of a white hot pyre.
I burn . . .Burn . . . BURN!

Now you have found one who will give
A gift for your soul and one for your fire.
May love light your road and give you safe haven
In time of your need, you’ve stirred a new seed.

    Never burns so much
    as to leave ashes to blow.
    It might be that is ice,
    the one that that yearning belong.
    Rosa (intense!!!!!)

    The burning has not yet reduced the desire to ashes as that desire is very deep, intense and solid, it is adamant. No matter it’s age, ice is very insubstantial – this desire will burn for as long as it is necessary to gain consummation. If consummation is achieved, desire will become deeper, more intense. Ashes, both literally and emotionally, will only arise when death takes the last breath. I’m glad you enjoyed this one again, Rosa, and I appreciate your wonderful comment.
