Macroglossum stellatarum – this little guy is somehow surviving the desert summer heat here in the city of Al Ain, UAE, by finding potted plants of globe amaranth- looks and acts like a hummingbird – one of about 3 types found here (usually in the winter).

    This is excellent David. I had one opportunity to capture one and it didn’t turn out anywhere this good.
