This is a truly wonderful image Dave, a scene I can only dream about but will never see with my own eyes, the inclusion of the camels at the oasis makes it all the more special, excellent work,
Regards, Rod.

Hi Rod
- wow thanks very much for the wonderful comment – it was sort of a dreamy morning -this place is only a few miles from my house but it seems another world—daveClive
Magnificent capture Dave, the colours through the dunes is amazing my friend, well done and having the camels and their young there just sets the scene
David Clark replied
Hi Clive – thanks very much – the babies were having a great time running around like a pack of young kids – dave – Sorry late in responding and commenting sometimes—it is quite difficult to access RB now in the UAE. – dave

What an awesome image… it nearly looks like a fairy tale or like being in 1001 night..

Lois Bryan
I agree with Rod!!!! The landscape itself is glorious … I love the rich foreground color … burning back to almost a misty scene in the back … the camels, though … really send this one over the top!!!!!!
David Clark replied
Hey Lois
- thanks very much – it was a strange misty morning and then the camels just emerged on the scene -the babies were just running around all over in a little gang. – daveJKKimball

- sometimes the dunes do give up a nice image -I think I should try to paint a version of this – daveArletta
This so looks staged, like for a movie Too perfect a scene! What a great capture!
David Clark replied
yeah it was difficult to get those camels to cooperate – actually I was getting ready to move on and the group just popped out from behind the dune – thanks – dav e

Beautiful image David and looks great as a vertical…... Can you hear the theme to ’ Lawrence of Arabia ’ ?
David Clark replied
thanks Wayne
- lets see now how does that theme go again? – Hard to believe that this is just a few miles from the city -daveWendi Donaldson
David this is magical…...the animals, the oasis….the solitary tree….. truly amazing.

Sharon Mau
This is so surreal David, the light and atmosphere is fascinating! It must have been wonderful to stand here and gaze out over this wonderful landscape as the Camels gathered at water’s edge. It is beautiful!! Congratulations on your feature in All Countries ~ Wetlands, Ponds, Lakes and Rivers
David Clark replied
Hi Sharon—thanks very much for the comment and the feature (and for adding it to the group – never really thought of entering it there) it was pretty great to check out the scene esp as the baby camels were having a grand time chasing each other around and getting chastized by the adults. cheers – dave (I am having lots of problems with RB access these days so not much chance for looking around)
Elaine Teague
How I envy you having such a wonderful scene to capture so well. The camels certainly add an extra point of interest. Wonderful.
David Clark replied
thank you very much for checking out my photos and for the comment – the camels just popped up from behind a dune while I was getting ready to take photos—and the babies were so cute – dave
Chris Snyder
Super shot Dave. Amazing how big that tree in the background is. Those babies are incredibly cute.
David Clark replied
Hi Chris
- thanks very much -the babies were great- just bouncing around – sort of like young colts -davepenspapers
You have an amazing eye!
David Clark replied
thanks very much for your comments and favoriting – I really appreciate it – I have limited time on RB so sorry if I cant reply promptly – dave
Andrew Murrell
This so works as a vertical landscape. It emphasizes the isolation of the oasis from the rest of the desert. the impression from the shot is the desert goes no for ever. The inclusion of the camels just completes the photo. A favourite
David Clark replied
Hi Andrew
- thank you very much for this comment and the others -I had the image in “landscape” but it didnt really work for me- never really thought of a landscape in portrait format – I do like how this way gives a lot more depth -really very nice of you to spend your time looking at my shots—daveLumenLux
It is difficult for me to choose “favorite” among your multitude of fine photographic expressions. This presentation creates a desire to “self experience” a scene in a land that has held little pull on me over the years. Thanks for sharing your experience.
David Clark replied
really just too kind – thanks very much for looking at my shots
- – I like the comment “has had little pull on me” I also fall into that catagory -trying to find things that are a little expressive and maybe unusual—daveJennyDean
Fabulous capture, would love to have been there. Your work is great David.
David Clark replied
Hi Jenny thanks very much – the baby camels were a treat—have been back since but havent seen them back at this site – dave
