Wadi Mud 2009

Wadi Mud 2009

We had another large rainstorm last night the first rain in 10 months and in this narrow limestone canyon in the mountains these mini-mud dunes form – in a day or so they will return back to dust. Late afternoon light in the canyon.

for a natures macro challenge (if I made it in time)

The photo won the Earth Exposed challenge in “Natures Macro Canvas” so it was worth the time to run out and get the photo hours before the challenge closed – thanks to everyone who voted for it.

Taken the same time from above

Wadi Mud 2009 belongs to the following groups:

DAVE!!!! WHEEEEEE!!!! Congratulations on your newest Challege Win!!!!!!!! Now, I must say, the light … time of day? ... made a big differece in this one, so I don’t think we’re going to subject you to endless arguments over whether or not this one is mud or chocolate. I do, however, think it looks suspiciously like melted licorice. Hmmmmmmm. I like the second version too, “from above,” that you included to the right side. Why not consider giving it its own comment page … and enter both in “Sets of Two”??? There i go bossing you around again … oohhhh meeeee! Seriously … congratzzzz!!!!!!

  • David Clark replied

Hey Sweetie - thanks very much - I enoyed this one - found out that my original photo wasnt eligible as it needed to be a new photo – it rained the night before (first time in 10 months) so I rushed out after work and got the shot before the deadline - I have others that I think are better - maybe I’ll post them later - cheers—dave
