I painted this in 2006 and I have just come to now understand it’s meaning. I call it sub-conscious art because I wasn’t consciously aware of what I was painting at the time. The two blue lines represent My True self and the other represents ego or my “conditioned self” The cross symbol represents me embracing the two selves and beginning a life through Truth and Honesty.
I love the blue you have used here. It is so vibrant amongst the other colours which complement each other perfectly. Has the painting reference to your physical body as to my it looks like the v shape could be your groin. Perhaps this is just me and my passion for body shapes. Think it is great that you are marrying the truie self and ego. So many of us judge and fear our ego or conditioned experiences yet in my opinion if we embraced all things within us then all would bring strength.

Very sensous lines, love the colour combo.
I wish I could do something in my subconsiousness as good as that.
Good luck on your journey :-)

Gorgeous!
I like the flowing lines in this… adds a nice sense of movement to the picture.
beautiful work
subconscious indeed
Beautiful piece Claire, love the ribbons of blue through it! :)
I agree with Tony – to me, the lines evoke the shape of your body. It’s a beautiful and calming image.
This has a wonderful shape, flow and atmosphere.
