My name is Claire and I’m using a Nikon d3100. I’m interested in the small detail. The quirks. Thanks for stopping by!

Cool imagery! Very colourful contrasts between the girl and mono backdrop.
Can you suggest a Tutorial on Selective Colouring? I have my own method, but it would be tricky and time-consuming to select her hair (as cleanly as you have done) with my technique.
Thanks reflector! SC is so addictive. It really can make an image ‘pop’. I just use Gimp for Selective Colouring which I downloaded for free. It’s very easy to follow, and here is a great tutorial I learnt on: www.gimp.org/tutorials/Selective_Color/
Thanks for the information! I tried the Gimp for a while a few years ago and it’s a powerful program with lots of features, but the interface irritated me – it has all of those little windows right in the workspace instead of docked down the right margin of the screen. I’ll try that Tutorial, though. :))
I haven’t made an S/C piece for maybe a year. They are great to make. You can convert the background to Sepia, too.
Sounds cool reflector, sepia is something I haven’t used a lot of but I think I might play around with it a bit… PS: You are right about the Gimp interface, it is somewhat annoying! I guess I’ve just got used to it though. :-)
I tried to find out how to Dock The Palettes in the GIMP by reading the Help section but I gave up trying to find that info. They could go commercial and make a killing if they fixed that problem.
Here’s one of my Sepia with S/C images -The Special One
