My name is Claire. I live in the scenic coastal town of Rosebud on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. I have lived elsewhere including the country and the city. Perhaps surprisingly – given my love for the natural world – I draw a lot of my creative inspiration and energy from street art in Melbourne (of which I am yet to showcase extensively on RedBubble).
I enjoy making trips to Melbourne for the explicit purpose of photowalking/wandering the city streets with my friend. I am using a Nikon d3100 – a good learning camera. I am strictly amateur but for me, photography is simply “therapy” – it’s all about the “doing”, and the pleasant surpise is, you never know what gems you will get at the end of the day. A good photo always makes my heart fill with pride.
Shot in the Heart of Melbourne, Exhibition
I am part of a cooperative street photography initiative that is staging a real, live, photographic exhibition, between June 21 and July 2, 2012. It will feature Street Photography & Photojournalism captured in Melbourne by Victorian photographers.
