365 moments to remember by

Homepage artwork for November 2007

After seeing Devan Foster’s “Juxtaposed image”, i thought i’d share my “A day in the life of…” with you.
Basically, i wanted to see if i could commit to capturing a whole year of my life by taking a picture daily.
It started as a fun challenge with a friend but has turned into something more about acceptance now. Acceptance of all the flaws and appreciating the differences.
I reached my 365 shot on the 19.10.07.
The series marks such a big year in my life; including emigrating to another country, falling in love and the death of my grandpa. I now view it as a baseline in my life. A time when future events (marriage, birth of children and death) can always be related back to this year and every day it contains.
Hope you enjoy x

What a project, and such a great result. The final image stands well alone, as more than just a collection of details.

What a great project. The outcome is fantastic and the experience of doing such a thing is mazing. I think I’ll follow your foot steps and try such a project. The result here is a splendid tapestry of people, experiences, joy lughter and I’m sure some dissapointments that only made your commitment to it stronger. I applaud you.
