Oh Claire !!!!! I really love this !!!! ( actually ALL your work !!! ) You have the eye to make beautiful images even more beautiful,,,, Fantastic !!!
To answer your question,,, how do i protect the camera when shooting in the surf ? ,,, It’s attached to my left wrist by a lanyard. The only problem is when you need to swim, you still have to hold it with your left hand, gets awkward. Sand would really be the worst enemy, the fine grains get in every crevice. It is a Nikon Nikonos V (5) and is waterproofed by O-rings, so i have to be meticulous when cleaning and re-loading. (So i have 2 cameras so i don’t have to do it on the day. Save it till i get home !! ) x

Also,,,, I forgot to mention water droplets on the front glass, a great photo is written off with the blurry blobs in the image. I lick the lens glass port,, then rinse before every shot. ( sounds funny but ok cos no one’s watching me do it. ) x

What a beautiful image! I’ve always been fascinated with the interaction between sand and water and I’ve think you’ve captured it perfectly. I love the textures in this. Wonderful shot and great portfolio.
