It’s nice to see a slightly different view of this monument

I like how the angle really shows the scale of the stones compared to the onlookers.

I just did a search for Stonehenge on here and this easily has to be the best shot of it up there! The way you have framed this is just brilliant, the tight crop on the ground is perfect, giving a great emphasis to the sky and showing the stones as they are in nature. The lines are brilliant and I dont just mean the line of people! But dont they look great!
Your B+W work and processing is spot on… I’ve seen references to Ansel Adams before in other pieces of your work, and this for me has it too… its as if the clouds behind have a grandeur all of their own!
Brilliant work, a definate favourite and cant believe I hadnt commented on this already!

Great b/w. Love the composition of the shot, with the people at the edge, they look like ants compared to the structure! Well Done!

this is a neat image, but what really stands out to me is that your sky is really spectacular here. excellent tonality.

This is fantastic Claire!....the framing and composition makes it a very strong image!

Interesting progression of elements – people, artifact, sky.

Remarkable work. What an amazing combination and how beautifully the standing stones are set against the drama of the sky. A powerful image!

Just looking through your images again, and I don’t know why I didn’t comment further on this one first time, and add it as a favourite; I must have been having an off day. You were certainly fortunate with the weather, but you have also created a beautifully balanced shot, and post-processed it very well. It very nicely portrays the effect of seeing Stonehenge from a distance, giving it its place in the landscape and showing its immensity against minuscule human forms.
