How scary is life?

How scary is life?
When your faced with the end.
Confronted by demons
Devoid friends.

How scary is life?
When the dark angel comes to call,
Who will be there to catch,
Your loved ones when they fall?

How scary is life?
The life unlived.
Floating on uncertainty
Never one to forgive.

How scary is life?
The dreams unfulfilled
Put off for another day
Never to be rebuilt

How scary is life?
As you watch your own end
Barreling down the darkness
Tumbling end over end.

How scary now is life?

Have you learned nothing at all?

Stand up.

Back Straight.

Now…

walk tall.

Stop being so afraid
Live your life.
God has given you another chance
Don’t let this one slip by.

Live life to the fullest
My father, my heart
Reach for your dreams
Don’t ever stop.

How scary is life? by

Yesterday I had come face to face with the mortality of my father. He was involved in a terrible car accident. Though he is hospitalized and well on the way to recovery…the incident has clearly made an impression on my heart. Please understand that this is raw. (I love you, Dad! I thank God every minute that you survived this.)

Merry Christmas everyone! I just received the greatest Christmas present ever…the life of my Dad.

Wow! This is so well written, good job. Thank God the angles were watching over him.

  • Thank you sooo much for your comment. This came to me as I was looking at what was left of his truck after the tow truck dropped it off at home. I believe that he had an angel actually riding with him keeping him safe. Thank you again, and I hope you and yours has a Merry Christmas. :-)

Awsome my dear… How many tears did your keyboard receive while writing this heart felt poem..
Glad he is doing fine.. Gods speed…

  • Thank you so much, my dad is doing better. Banged up, bruised, and swollen but alive and home. This poem just poured out. Thank you again and Merry Christmas!! :-)
