Earth Bound Power #7 (The Son is Risen)by Carin Fausett
This is part of the Earth Bound Power Series. The series can be seen in two ways, one a Rothko, Mondrian power line study with birds. Or in a religious light. The painting is about man’s power, and death being bound to the earth. . .though God’s power is not bound to the earth. Obviously the sun symbolizes the Son of God, risen from death. The birds are on the power lines, they are mankind, not yet in flight, not yet risen to heaven.
Acrylic on panel. To be shown in the Springville Museum in Utah – Sept. 10 – Oct. 15 2010.
This Is Really Beautiful Work. What A Beautiful Looking Museum Also. Wishing You All The Best When You Show This Piece. I Also Like The Two Choices You Gave To This Piece :)
People see from their experiences, view points can’t be forced upon them, we see what we know. . . The show is coming up so fast, I feel like there is not enough time. Thank you for your support, Redbubble has a terrific group of artists! :)
I love the spiritual overtones you had with the creation of this work of art. The painting is very beautiful, and your description is excellent. I love the varying degrees of light and darkness in the painting… almost like an examination of the existence of the good and evil that mankind lives in while here on earth. Very Nice Work Carin!
Love the way you think! That’s what it’s about, the contrast and direction of good and evil. Thank you so much for your comment, made my day! :)
