This painting is part of a series that compares something rooted to the earth (power lines) and something free to move about (birds). This painting is a little different than the others because I added the element of pot shots or holes near the birds. I detest the compulsion that some have to just shoot at things, like birds. This is like how sometimes we find ourselves taking random shots at the “real” parts of our lives. These “real” parts to me, include family, our true selves, our principles, and God. Sometimes those random shots are unintentional, signified by neglect. Sometimes these shots are much more obvious. So I guess what I am saying is do your human best to take care of the most important things in your life.
