I apologise for the quality of this image – it is a digital photo of a print in a frame.
This my very good friends’ daughter who i photographed early thiscentury (makes me sound old !:)). One of my all time favourite portraits.
Rollei 6006, 150mm lens, f8, Nikon SF Gr 1 filter, home made vignette, Kodak C-41 B&W film. As is straight from developing (as all my wedding images recently uploaded are)
It is lovely. Although you went against the rules of lots of patterns I think it accentuates her face. The cropping is wonderful, makes a funky portrait, eyecatching.
All rules are meant to be broken as long as the breaking of them enhances the objectivity of the rule itself (make sense?) !:)
