Who is the Artist?

There are some wonderful street artists out there who deface or enhance the urban landscape. Along comes a photographer who is enamoured by the imagry and content and so make a copy of the image and then posts it on the web and can, quite possibly, make money from the resultant photograph.

I think it’s a shame that these street artists throw away their art so wontonly. They should be rewarded for such beautiful imagry but somehow don’t value themselves enough to make good with it. What a shame that others can profit from it…. it makes me sad. All artists should be credited for their creations.

Adobe & Camera Raw :(

Cannot believe this….. I have a new Canon EOS 7D and it’s awesome! But guess what? I have access to Adobe Photoshop CS2, CS3, DxO Optics Pro 6 & Capture One 5 on various computers, and the CR2 files are happily loaded into the last two but Adobe? No way! You have to upgrade to CS4 if you want to to manipulate CR2 Canon Raw files in Photoshop!…

Where does Adobe get off? Admittedly it’s the best photo manipulation software that I’ve come across (it’s suits me anyway) but neither CS2 nor CS3 are broken and both work extremely well for the pro photographers that rely on them and neither are going to upgrade because my new camera requires it……….

Not only but also, CS5 is about to be released, well, on April 12th they’re going to announce when so if anyone upgrades now, or I choose to buy it now

Have had them all (cameras) – but my favourite are still my Rollei’s. (though I haven’t used them in years). Mostly wedding, portrait and commercial photography.…

Now that our kids are off our hands I am taking an interest again and I’ve discovered how much I’ve forgotten i.e. the little things that make the difference.

P.S. please don’t be offended if I don’t respond to your comments, I appreciate them and I
