Lioness on alert
Lioness at Werribee Open Range Zoo south of Melbourne. Taken in evening light in winter – this lioness was clearly in charge. Male lions over in the adjoining hill were making a racket with their roaring and she didn’t seem too happy! I love the furrowed brow and sharp eyes.
