I see much symbolism here. And maybe what I see has a twist.
The baby may have not had new beginnings but it never had an ending. The woman was the woman who had the life that was not. The intended recipient of this gift never knew because it was somehow blocked.
Gifts like this never die because they are God given. They return to sender and are possibly rearranged and sent out again to one that will receive. And the world still turns.
