Lift me when the clouds meet and decide
So do the scars, guised under cherry armor
Like a rabbit wounds my tired velvet side
` Beware the gamble knife and fleshy reek
Those ramblin’ tires burned the moonlight ride
Back when the meek disturbed the nothing ground
And oe’r the leaves ran some shotgun bride
Oh my song the mellow one that whispers “away”
The empty veins long the blood let drip
For in my smile bounds the few benevolent
When grapple arms laugh above my knuckle grip
Traffic talk sweet like perfume lightning chance
Spastic dreams may cramp my smitten slip
But the best like fish egg stink and stew
Tonight I alone must dock this parting ship
