John Steinbeck once wrote; “What a frightening thing is the human, a mass of gauges and dials and registers and we can only read a few and even those perhaps not accurately.” I agree. Humans are very complex and we as individuals are multifaceted. A plague of the Earth. All we do is; Talk, want, need, we’re narcissistic, we ignore, breathe, emit toxins, we lie, constantly, we annoy, we’re loud. So what’s the point? We live, we die, where is the meaning in life? To make a difference to others, that are going to die in the future anyway? Seriously? What is the point? Our selfish ambitions and total disregard for anything besides ourselves, makes me physically shudder in repulsion. We go on about our daily lives with only one idea in our simplistic minds, ‘how can I make myself happy?’ We care not about our own species, let alone other animals and creatures around us. We eat, Survive, re-produce, die. That’s what it all boils down to.

We have this incessant need to impress people. We are narrow minded and violent. Evolution did give us strong power but it was flawed somehow; we’re supposed to be so ‘intelligent’ and ‘smart’ so why do we destroy our own envouirnment and deplete our own resources? Over the years I have developed a tolerance and sort of, understanding. We’re a disastrous race, monsters just awaiting impending death. We’re all animals wandering this Earth killing and rolling in our own filth. My Blood boils in antipathy the way we; think, act, talk, interact and the looks they give you.

Its true! When you think about it. All other forms of life stay in complete equilibrium with there respective eco-system, while we rape our surroundings until there’s nothing left to use, and then move on. Yes! Humans have a lot to be proud of; music, literature, art, but a hell of a lot more to be ashamed of.

Could it be that we are actually so mind numbingly stupid that we are going to extinct ourselves sometime in the not so distant future? Maybe it’s the contempt for understanding, the loss of vitality? But why is there this ludicrousness rippling over humanity? ‘Money is the root of all evil’ or so they say. Co-operations will not stop exploiting people and the Earth. We will not awaken to the absurdities of our daily lives. The vast proportion of the human population is inheritently unintelligent, so stupid it hurts, slaves to their own intellect. Despite this seemingly crippling flaw, humanity has both survived and flourished and I believe it will continue to do so. This sickens me.

Its funny how something that seems so simple, has so much meaning behind it. Take a tree for example. The other day I saw a willow tree, probably around eight hundred years old, easily one hundred and fifty feet tall. I was compelled , for some reason to then compare this to a human. This tree Never moved an inch in its life, never hurts anything else, only uses what it needs. And I thought to myself Humans are so PATHETIC, compared to this tree. We spend our short lives, scrambling around for shelter, food, creating needlessly elaborate technology to support our idiotic desires. While taking more that we actually need and disrespecting every other form f life.

We have no respect for each other, for animals, for the Earth that has been so good to us. We all fool ourselves into thinking we do, but actually, people are starving, murder is happening and as a matter of fact, the world is dying! People discriminate, put down others beliefs, generalise when something isn’t general! Simple Minded, We don’t care about anything unless it benefits us. We drop rubbish, squash harmless insects as if they mean nothing, act shallow, do horrible things for money that we don’t even need. We act plastic and judgemental. Everything’s made to be broken, Things brutally slaughtered for what? For food? For fun? For pleasure? It’s disgusting, It makes me sick in fact, but do we try to stop it, no; including myself. We’re hypocritical. The Human race is doomed to destroy itself because people are the virus of life, they will annihilate themselves, why don’t people see this?

God, how I loathe them. How I loathe myself. We’re like little mice running around in a meaningless maze, more commonly known as existence. No-one understands me, that’s one of the things I despise most, They judge, what they don’t understand. I think that it’s fine to be apathetic about others, after all who truly cares about you? We came into this world as individuals so maybe we should leave the same way. You can be your own best friend and yet, your own worst enemy. I Feel endlessly isolated, frustrated. I don’t feel at all superior for I am far from perfection myself, I just feel generally angered by the universal ignorance of society. In this self-built dungeon of self-despair, spending too much time brooding about it. So it becomes toxic. I feel the need to know I am not alone, not the only one that feels this way. This may be my last shred of humanity, I just need to know.
