The Once & Future King. The title comes from the book by T.S. White [At least I think that’s his name. Correct me if I’m wrong.] which follows King Arthur from childhood to nobility. For whatever reason I feel a sense of quiet leadership from this boy—the kind of young, silent strength that you get a glimpse of and are blown away by its hidden intensity.
It’s so funny.. I’m a watcher of yours on DeviantART.. and I actually joined here because of your recent journal post. I thought I’d check the site out. It’s wonderful. And I was sitting here looking through recently submitted work,.. and I thought to myself,.. wow, that looks a lot like cinquain’s work. Sure enough, here you are. You have such a distinct style.. and it’s absolutely wonderful. You’re a very talented girl. :)
Btw,.. my account on dA is inn0centxkisses. I don’t know if you remember me from Thumbshare days or not. :)
Awh, hi! Yes, of course I remember you. It’s great to hear from you again. :D
This is brilliant. Your right about the sense of leadership, and the title works in brilliantly with the drawing. Charcoal is such a… free, medium, always moving and always changing, even once it has stained the paper. It amazes me how still you can make it – not forcing it to be, but its like its calmed on the page. He is beautiful, because of the way you drew him and because of the way you created his story.
i’m thinking I like this one most of all – i think because the title really gets to me – the once king so medieval and bright, the future king so gothic, punk and dark and yet still with that hopeful innocence, that power that only the young and fearless can have… love it love it love it!
this is most definitely my favorite done by you, … it almost scares me a bit, because i feel like ive seen him, or that i know exactly who he is. … i may just be in love with this…

Lovely and I really like that story, but got a little bored after the Merlin section.
