Medusa. Because I did Medusa’s Perseus… so why not?
There are many legends behind Medusa, but nearly all of them start out with Medusa being a beautiful woman, not a horrible monster. My personal favorite of how she obtained her head of snakes: Medusa was so beautiful that she rivaled the beauty of Athena. In a rage, Athena turned Medusa’s hair into snakes and made her into an ugly beast whos gaze turned men into stone.
