The Death Of Narccisus
Original Creation Date: June 5th, 2005
Okay, so… the thing at the bottom right-hand corner is my version of a radiographed daffodil which, scientifically, is called ‘narcissus pseudonarcissus’. (Look it up if you think I’m lying.) Anyway, I found the fact that the scientific name was also the same as that of the Narcissus we all know and love, the Greek god that was obsessed with his own reflection. I think this boy is terribly pretty, very likely quite like Narcissus himself. Where does the death come in? Eh… the whole semi-decay thing that I see happening.
16” x 22”, charcoal on paper, freehand.
