Well, I’m new to the website (and photography for that matter) and thought I’d give this a shot. I guess you could say I’m looking for some constructive criticism. I say I’m new because I haven’t been taking pictures for decades; as far as being new to the website, that will probably last until I hit 1,000 views or my 1 year anniversary on the site (whichever comes first).
Most of my material comes from walking around and taking pictures in the great outdoors. Luckily I live in an area with a fantastic park system and zoo. both give me the plenty of opportunities and subjects to photograph. I especially love going to the zoo to photograph the animals and am helped by the fact that the exhibits are designed not to look like cages or anything like that. Occasionally I’ll throw in a few different effects – mainly because my drawing skills are pretty sub-par (stick figures are the limit of my abilities).
On another note, I’ve been restoring older photographs. They are mostly family photos from way back, but I figure I could compare notes and get a little feedback about the restorations.
I have done a little house cleaning and organized my portfolio a bit into these galleries:
| When I first started taking pictures I focused on landscapes. Here is my gallery dedicated to the great outdoors | ![]() |
| Photo Restoration is something that has gone from a class project to a full-blown hobby | ![]() |
| All of the photos in my Zoo Animals Gallery are from the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo | ![]() |
| Every once in a while inspiration strikes and voila – personal art work | ![]() |
Formatting my profile has been a bit of a pain in the backside since I wasn’t used to the way RedBubble works, so here are a few helpful links:
