Acrylic on canvas (this is one of the ones that went to the gallery in Florida)

More from my African Soul.

Size 61 × 91cm

My paintings are an exploration and expression of my personal emotions, interpersonal relationships and recollections of childhood; the human condition; and also influenced by my travel experiences and their influences on my senses as well as inspiration drawn from current fashion and pop culture.

My aim is to represent my world and express, with my chosen media the emotional moments, quirky twists and often humorous encounters of life.

I absolutely love these latest ‘red’ paintings Carmen – You have a deep connection with your African soul and it really shows in these artworks – Flodida sounds amazing – take your soul to it!!

Thanks for your comment Kafka! It’s really nice to get one on my work.

I have just been having a winge on my journal about the fact that if you aren’t consistently commenting on other people’s work that no-one comments on yours, hence posing the question, is it the work people are commenting on or really just networking and buttering eachother up? I think it’s been misconstrued that I am now doubting myself as an artist due to lack of comments, it’s not that at all… I better stop now, you probably know what I mean anyway. x C

a tittilating donut strip show. reminds me of the scene with the midget talking backwards in twin peaks. and i’m always happy to be reminded of the scene with the midget talking backwards in twin peaks.

lucan, sjem, danny and the pastor have taken refuge in my cellar following your threats. please would you desist. they are, quite frankly, making the vestil not-virgins most restless.

  • can you explain what you are on about? your comments seem very random and who is lucan sjem danny and pastor? What threats anyway??
