My paintings are an exploration and expression of my personal emotions, interpersonal relationships and recollections of childhood; the human condition; and also influenced by my travel experiences and their influences on my senses as well as inspiration drawn from current fashion and pop culture.

My aim is to represent my world and express, with my chosen media the emotional moments, quirky twists and often humorous encounters of life.

this is great soft peachy color for the sky, that blends really well red and mulity natural colors
of the ground and the lonely tre with the people and the light blue for the pool of water, this is really good work , nice to support the people of africa

    Hi Carmen,
A lovely dreamy image, I love the contrast of colour here, as the blue pool brings an added dimension and interest to the overall work. I like how you look twice before seeing the little figures by the boab tree (my favourite trees btw)…..I really like the nice textures, especially the yellow creaminess of the hills as opposed to the fingerwork? in the sky….a simple but stunning piece. Keep up the great work Carmen!
    Cheers,
    Karin

  • Thanks Karin… no finger work, but if you saw my hands you wouldn’t think so!
