Thanks Termite… I find the time… no I make the time. I make my own living by painting and selling paintings, holding art workshops, and working part time as a creative development assistant with disabled people, yes, I study too, that seems to suffer most… but if you love art, and you love creating, like anything there is a price to pay!

It has an unnerving double emotion where the figure appears to be doing a dreamy swan dive right out of the picture while the dog has a startled “oh shit, we’re falling” look. Very narrative but I’d expect it to have a pair with just sand and water…a here and gone pair.

This one is grat because it has movement, it has a story (th dog) and she has a whimsical look. All these things make an interesting piece of art.

Carmen, I love this painting… when I lived in Perth my favourite thing to do was eat great Italian takeaway on the dog beach at Freo, while watching the sun set into the Indian Ocean. On hot, hot days I’d watch the Doctor roll in. Such memories!

It’s sunset under a fremantle sky, taken from the apartment overlooking bathers beach.
