Shylie Edwards
love the expression on the dog!!! well done
Carmen Cilliers
Thanks Termite… I find the time… no I make the time. I make my own living by painting and selling paintings, holding art workshops, and working part time as a creative development assistant with disabled people, yes, I study too, that seems to suffer most… but if you love art, and you love creating, like anything there is a price to pay!
Carmen Cilliers
Yea so do I – LOL, it’s kind of like… let me go I want to go sniff that other doggies bum!
genevievem
so beautiful Carmen, this one has a lovely feeling, love those balmy days myself.
alistair mcbride
Love the expression on the dogs face as well! great looking worl.
artstruggle
It has an unnerving double emotion where the figure appears to be doing a dreamy swan dive right out of the picture while the dog has a startled “oh shit, we’re falling” look. Very narrative but I’d expect it to have a pair with just sand and water…a here and gone pair.
Mariette/Flowi...
Stunning Carmen, your work is so uplifting, love the expression in her face.
Carmen Cilliers
Artstruggle – I had to read your comment twice, but I just figured out what you mean… another painting… same size… just sand and water – easy done! Thanks for the advice I hadn’t thought of that.
Thanks Mariette!

You’re so clever Carmen : ) I love this…from the intricate detail in her dress…to the deep blue of the sea. Well done!
Belinda "Billy...
This one is grat because it has movement, it has a story (th dog) and she has a whimsical look. All these things make an interesting piece of art.
andygibb

Same size pic with the dog beside a pair of feet and same background would be perfect CC.

mlgkats
very nice use of colors, cool blues for sky and water ,warm colors for her hair, soft tones for the sand ,which really make her pop, light colors for her dress, which makes the dog pop, well done

It’s on Ebay, so if you feel like splashing out for the original at a mere $89 Australian, then go for it! You should be able to find it if you search under original paintings, cilliers. Carmen, I love this painting… when I lived in Perth my favourite thing to do was eat great Italian takeaway on the dog beach at Freo, while watching the sun set into the Indian Ocean. On hot, hot days I’d watch the Doctor roll in. Such memories!
