I really like that a lot… love the expression you grant your characters with…
Great composition, great expression, well balanced, and authentic… (don’t sell the original under $1200 or you’ll be ripped off… )
Love it.

Faces in a crowd! Just what I’m trying to escape, but nicely done. Would look good full size.
Carmen Cilliers, 8 months ago
Thank You Steve. There is a lot of significance in the figures in this painting (for me). Have you had a look to see if any of them resounded with something in you? this painting looks much better in it’s true form, and it’s large size as you said. Thanks for your feedback. :)

Excellent painting. I see some familiar faces in that crowd. :)

Wow this is great, love how you have created such emotion in the faces, I like the stranger 3rd from the right.
Carmen Cilliers, 8 months ago
Thanks Marina, is that the one you most relate to perhaps. When I painted it I most related to the 5th from the right, but it changes with my moods : )

I love this but I want to know…....Why is the man on the far right crying?

It’s my father.

I absolutely love this. Abstract art is one of my favourite things…
you should sell these on Ebay!
Carmen Cilliers, 8 months ago
Thanks Birgitti! Now if you can tell me how to get real value from Ebay sales, I am interested. Most things I have sold have been grossly under value so I have lost heart with that site. I tend to do ‘money spinners’ specifically for it. Still good paintings, but much smaller etc. What would you price this for on Ebay?

hey man, that’s my family and ancestors… mind your manners!

I meant it as compliment, it’s a remarkable piece. Sorry I didn’t mean to offend :(

Carmen Cilliers in reply to Max Gatrell’s comment, about 1 month ago
you didn’t offend… i thought it was your intelligent way of making reference to emotional totem poles!
Max Gatrell, about 1 month ago
I didn’t realize they were Totem Poles, I thought it was a medieval torture piece lol

It’s neither, sadly i think it’s a family portrait.
