She’s cool- love the colours- How about
“Blue Leticia” (She looks like a Leticia to me for some reason) xxxxxx

  • Carmen Cilliers replied

I am glad you like her. Not sure I like the name Leticia – Kinda like Wendy… had a bad experience when I was a kid and Leticia sounds like someone that would be Wendy’s friend Lol. (Sorry to all the Wendy’s and Leticias out there! nothing personal to you – just that one lurking out there in the shadows of childhood hehe)

    She’s really beautiful Carmen… I love her!

  • Carmen Cilliers replied

Pip – lovely poem. I am going to stick it on the back so the new owners see it when they get it, who ever they are. Not sure if I should list it for sale or build a collection first.

  • Pip Gerard

    Pip Gerard

I didn’t actually mean for it to be a poem… each line was a different idea for a title… but then when you said that and I read it back it does sound like it could be a little mini story of her so I believe that’’s the way it should be :)

The more I look at her… the more I like her! A truly fantastic work!!

  • Pip Gerard

    Pip Gerard

    what’s the original’s size?

  • Carmen Cilliers replied

About 76 by 60 (well at a guess because can’t find tape measure) and is on canvas board so needs a frame. If you want to buy it I have listed it in my Ebay store. Just go to Ebay and search Cilliers – it will come up (and cheap!). : )

This is so cute! In Afrikaans we have a childrens’ song that would be perfect with this image! If you still remember some Afrikaans, I’ll write some of the words down here! It goes something like this: “Iemand het ‘n lappop op die ashoop weggegooi. Sy was gedaan en stukkend, verbleik en nie meer mooi nie…..” and at the end: “Al die goeters op die ashoop, hou gou vergadering. Hule besluit om lappop te bekroon as die ashoop koningin!” Hahaha…. could not resist!

    Love this Carmen!

  • Carmen Cilliers replied

Ek ondhou nie daarie liedjie nie. My Afrikaans is pateties!!! Haha!

    But thanks :)
