i love this work… to me it feels like a daydream gone wrong….. it’s haunting in the journey it has taken…... (that probably makes no sense to you ha)...... but i think it’s brilliant…...... bravo….....b

  • Carmen Cilliers replied

Aw butch, please explain, a day dream gone wrong… oh – I know the type, like when you go to bed at 3pm in the arvo for a quick nap, have huge dreams and wake up not knowing what day of the week it is or if you are late for work and it’s Monday morning but it turns out to be Saturday arvo or something ?

Thank you for saying it’s brilliant – bravo to you friend!

  • kathibook

    kathibook

This is haunting. But beautiful. How about ‘Picket Fences’? How large is this painting? Is it a mix of oils and….?? Is it for sale Do you have a price in mind? Full of questions aren’t I!! That last one was rhetorical. lol I like the piece very much.

  • Carmen Cilliers replied

Kathi, I like that idea … Pathway of Pickets, Pickets around the soul, Abandoned pickets… (I like abandoned pickets – kind of refers to letting our guardd down.)
Price – mmm, direct and not a gallery sale, for you…$280 oz. Oh, and it’s largely acrylic on canvas but there is some pastel and ink and size… it measures 60cm x 76cm long.)

Does that answer all your questions love?

Thank you – I really appreciate your input.

Really drawn to this one in your folio… a real stand out. Such a creative style that jumps out at you and secondly for the title… love it!
When viewd large all the different aspects of this painting are all wonderful… the figure is beautiful and I love the scratchy elements in this. As for the colour… I’ll say it again… love it!
    An instant favourite!

  • Carmen Cilliers replied

Thank you again Paul! I sold this to Pip Gerard, the original, it’s all wrapped and ready to be mailed but I am spitting chips about not taking a clearer photo, you have picked up some of the detail, but my image still loses a lot on what is on the original. Perhaps I should ask Pip to photograph it and upload it on the bubble for me?
Thank you again for stopping by and taking the time to comment on my work. : )

  • Paul Tupman

    Paul Tupman

I see how excited Pip is to be receiving the original… and so she should be! I would definately see if you can get a higher resolution shot of the painting if you say there is more detail to be seen. Would be great to see.

  • Carmen Cilliers replied

Hopefully she’ll get round to it. I’m pretty happy that she likes it so much. : )
