"Love is..."
A poem I wrote some 14 years ago….
"Love is..." belongs to the following groups:

it blooms… but soon it dies.
And if Love is but a flame,
it flickers when one sighs.
They say it is the river,
running deep and strong.
But when there is a drought,
there’s no water, so they’re wrong.
A heart holds Love within itself,
but lets go when it is old.
So perhaps Love can’t compare,
To anything as we are told.
For Love is all embracing,
even through our wrongs.
and Love is a power,
that’s forever deep and strong.
It is not the delicate flower,
nor the flickering flame.
Not a river or a heart,
of Love these holds no claim.
But I know that Love is what I feel
and that makes me yearn for you.
So when I say I love you,

found my old journal from creative writing class in high school…
i have a few short stories and poems that I will be adding soon
I had forgotten most of them… but rereading them makes me wonder why i ever stopped writing
