Shadow Play

Shadow Play

I have this poem here that inspired me to create this tonight.

Shadow Play

messages
pressures, brushes, touches, whispers

Like sound, like leaves singing

Thoughts would emerge
as if from the shadows
themselves and burn
into the screen of my
mind

Everything was gray except the flashes
tiny sparks between skin and skin
signaling secret code
we will solve sometime
or maybe watch only like stars
sliding across skies so impossibly dark
except for points of light
like her eyes

.......................................................................

I intermingled two of my pencil drawings, Titok

and passage

    You ….intermingle,
    what a sophisticaded word….
    comprehensible, variegated, multifaceted…
for an image where there is madness and complicity in equal parts.
    Spheres of looks,
    submmited leaves, duality in earnest.
I wish I could hold her image to the centre….and aske her…
I wish I could divert my eyes from him, for he is mesmerizing my will.
    So….I may think…. that in fact…
I am the reflection of her soul..
already been submmitted to his love.
Rosa (great!!!!...I identify your works… without seeing your name..that is a progress!)

  • Cynthia Lund T... replied

Whenever I read your words, I just sit here in stillness – just stunned.
You have such an insightful eye/heart.
    THANK YOU dear.

    xo,
    C.

  • Sfumato

    Sfumato

Interesting that the words deliver a dynamic sensation of motion… of a threshold having been crossed and an electrifying journey ahead… and yet the characters appear to be arrested, stilled, pausing, waiting… is there another act to this Shadow Play lying ahead of them?

  • Cynthia Lund T... replied

    Hmm…
again, you challenge me beyond my own visions.
What a wondrous being you are to take the time and effort to LOOK and SEE so much.
Of course, I am only able to catch one angle of this union. I do believe I’d be in need of a cinematographer to go further.
