The Arrival

pencil on paper (arches) drawing ORIGINAL SOLD

Here is a shot of it where it took honors at an exhibition along with its sister/brother, Messenger

(in sweet memory of Isabella Grace Torroll who was being breastfed by her caring mother, Beth Rose, while I was doing a lot of this drawing)

Since this is a round image, it doesn’t lend itself easily to some of the products. Please pop over here
for a cropped version of this image that will.

I could stare at those eyes all day. This little creature appears to be as surprised to find herself (himself?) here as we are to see here. Did she just arrive here at this moment is she arrive ten thousand years ago and is just remembering that now? Is she blanketed and protected by the foliage or escaping from it? Or are these questions as pointless and naive as I fear?

  • Cynthia Lund T... replied

You’ve made me smile out loud ~

I think it’s a she. I have no other clues beyond that. You may know a lot more about this than I do!

Again, you have made me sit up straighter and have to look at my work a little closer. Do you teach?
