Love in the woods

in the quiet forest
in the land of mushrooms

knock the door
of silence and
bring it to life

little sweet senses
keep them
afloat

always a joy
always a joy
always a joy

keep your hair
flying

open your
mind
to the wisdom
of your senses
a thousand times
a thousand times
will
never
be enough

it will tingle you
all the way
into
delight
into delight
and make you forget
so many
things
as you get
it going
up and down
up and down
and
let
it going

will take you
to the edge

a beetle on the
ground
let it run, leap,
jump
and fly

as you fall down
on the grass

A sense of joy in life here and I loved the line referring to “knocking on the door of silence” – sensitive and engaging writihg

I could feel the rhythm of life(love?) going through me reading this piece. Imagined a guitar being strummed by the ‘lover’ too…..yes, “engaging” as George Coombs suggested.
