I finely capture my first Ruby-crowned Kinglet. It is a shy, small 4inch bird that flies from branch to branch feeding an only stopping for a few seconds before it’s off to the next tree. I’ve been trying to capture a good shot of one since I saw my first one two years ago. I captured this shot at Delta Ponds wildlife refuge in, Eugene, Oregon. Taken on Feb 17, 2011 with my Canon EOS 50D, EF100-400mm f/4.5-5.6l IS USM Lens, set at 1/1579sec., F 5.66, ISO 1600, Focal length 400mm.
