Great portrait of a beautiful Raptor Chuck!

  • Thanks Jade, it’s pretty easy when they’re sitting on a perch. I would much rather have sneaked up on it out in the wild

Wouldn’t we all Chuck, sometimes you just a take wht you can get! I’m going to make a return visit to a bird sanctuary in eastern North carolina this spring there’ll be a few pix from there when I do!

  • I wish you all the luck on your trip Jade. I hope to go back there soon if we ever get any sun here on a weekend. That is when they take the birds out so you can take their picture.

Except for some dangerous birds like the raptors, most of the cages have double entry doors so you can walk around inside the cages with the birds.

  • Lucky you! We have some butterfly places like that around here. I haven’t been to the Portland zoo in years, I think they have something like that there also.

yeah, There’s a glass butterfly dome in Durham N C and another huge bird dome at the N C state zoo, Not so sure about what’s in Va. but there’s quite a lot of photo ops around just about everywhere if we just take the time to look for them!
