    Thank you Dee, they are in different families yours is in the Darter (family Anhingidae) it is an Anhinga male. My bird is a Cormorant ( family Phalacrocoracidae). School is out for the day…..Now you can…. laugh out loud {8o})

    Some how I just knew you were going to correct me!! lol….I only said that because I studied both in my little bird book trying to figure out which one I had!! ......What is your profession…just curious…because I think you must be a teacher of some sort…maybe….? even before you said that about school….lol!

    We have a lot of them here Donna, you mostly see them on the coast were you live.

    They look like they are part duck and pelican. Are they the same size as a pelican?
