The famous “Kissing Coppers” by Banksy are situated on the side of the Prince Albert pub in Brighton, UK. The work has been severely vandalised over the years. Interestingly, the original graffiti was lifted from the wall by a restoration specialist, put on canvas and sold to America by the pub owner.
The present day facsimile is encased in perspex and still badly vandalised.

Lets not forget that Grafitti is an act of vandalism in itself!
Not that I don’t hold Banksy in high regard, he’a way above many of the alleged top artists of today.

Graffiti and street art are two different things, Robin :) When does graffiti become a street art? When you could sell one to America for £500,000! :)
Actually, I do like a tastefully done graffiti (in an appropriate place). Love Banksy for his humour and controversial images. I don’t see him as a vandal. Even his choice of the walls for the future works is very imaginative :)

So, good graffiti is art, bad graffiti vandalism? (This remark for the other comment). I confess I’m a Banksy junkie and I agree about the locations being part of the artistic statement.

ha-ha, I usually do not pay attention to this kind of staff ( I am very conservative) , but I can see why it’s popular.
I thinks it’s the only one on RB of this graffiti. I’ve had over 40 sales in the last 8 months since it was featured.
