I retired, and took up painting in watercolour a couple of years ago so as to keep myself occupied during the winter when it is too cold and wet to do gardening.I was talked into putting the French scenes here by friends.

All the things in the French scenes are things that I have seen and have lodged in my head. They were to be used as part of a French language learning tool, but the project had to be shelved and I decided to complete them in large format in pen, ink, gouache and water colour.
