A Break In The Storm... by Linda Costello Hinchey
Clear

This photograph was taken down Poor Valley Road near Brumley Gap in Washington Co., Virginia after the recent storm of Dec. 2009. The snow was wet and heavy and clung to everything. It also caused thousands of folks to be without power for several weeks and some still have no power. (Posted Dec.31)

Hi Linda, and Happy New Year to you and your family!! This is beautiful and another favorite!

  • Thanks so much, Mike! You should have seen this road in the pitch black of night with only headlights to light the way. Very beautiful. Of course the night before it was still snowing and the road was white. I’m thrilled that you’ve favorited it. You have a happy and healthy New Year, Mike!!
