*I want to take a moment to say thank you for all the wonderfully descriptive comments that you folks have taken the time to leave me. It’s like writing the music to a song and having people add their own words. And I love what others see in my work… especially this image.

  • I thank you, too! I have a great passion for the Appal Mountains. Most of my work is done in oils, sketches, watercolor but I do my reference work with my camera. I live deep in the Appalachian Mountain Forest and have, over the years, kept photographic and artistic documentation of this world around me. Thank you again for featuring my work. I am so pleased you like it.

this is so beautiful. Soft, serene and atmospheric. Well done on a great shot.

  • That’s so interesting that you should say this… Because this is how I felt in the moments I was taking these shots. It was almost dreamy. I love these types of days! Thank you, Felicity! And I’m thrilled you’ve added it as a favorite.
