*I want to take a moment to say thank you for all the wonderfully descriptive comments that you folks have taken the time to leave me. It’s like writing the music to a song and having people add their own words. And I love what others see in my work… especially this image.
Taken at the break of dawn in the high country mountains of Mount Rogers National Forest & State Park in Smyth Co., Va. & Grayson Co., Va. at the www.chstudios.net. We take this trip every year in the Autumn starting out here and traveling through the Blue Ridge Parkway.

I thank you, too! I have a great passion for the Appal Mountains. Most of my work is done in oils, sketches, watercolor but I do my reference work with my camera. I live deep in the Appalachian Mountain Forest and have, over the years, kept photographic and artistic documentation of this world around me. Thank you again for featuring my work. I am so pleased you like it.

I really liked it, and thanks for the submission, your feature was well deserved. You look at photography as we both do, Jason and I. Great work. Keep in touch.
You welcome and thank you! I’m so honored with this feature. I have a great love and passion for the Appalachian Mountains. I favor this image because it’s timeless …reminding me of what things may have been like hundreds of years ago.

That’s so interesting that you should say this… Because this is how I felt in the moments I was taking these shots. It was almost dreamy. I love these types of days! Thank you, Felicity! And I’m thrilled you’ve added it as a favorite.
