The happy snapper captures the subject and collects images of the kid/s, the dog, the 21st birthday and the last holiday by the sea. The journeyman photographer sees the subject and the composition, snapping dramatic pix of the Harbour Bridge from below. The master photographer uses the light to define their own view of the world around them…Photography..light writing!!
Been rapped in photo-graphy since early days and have had the mandatory removable darkroom in the family bathroom and a better more permanent darkroom in my bedroom. I am honoured to have won a number of awards early on and a scattering of awards and publications both local and international as I’ve progressed from film to digital and from happy snapper to master. My role models are many but high on the list are the acknowledged old masters: Cartier-Bresson, Ansel Adams, Ed Weston and Eugene Smith.
