The gate valve in this image has been in this spot for many years…old & rusty, it’s a permanent fixture at the base of an overflowing lake at Araluen Botanic Park in Western Australia. I’m not sure how it operates, but it took my fancy while walking across the pathway at the edge of the lake, looking down. Hope I haven’t confused you :-)
I took this with my Canon Powershot A550

The color and texture is amazing in this capture!

  • Thanks Gregory….I was happy with the way the texture came out. These little Canon’s are pretty cool. Don’t cost a fortune and give a good result :-)

Sheesh – I have never noticed it… it’s a good object for photos though, nice!

  • Thanks Carmen…I worked full time at the park for a while, so noticed a lot of things that are probably overlooked by visitors. It’s a special place, especially when there aren’t many people around…very peaceful.
A good place to think. (not while working though) :-)
