Symphonic Movement

Oh dear….usually when I finish an image I know just what to call it. This one didn’t give me a clue….so here it is with no name!

But then Whirligig made her comments, and now it has a name.
Thanks a heap Whirligig :-)

This is a wonderful symphony of movement and of shapes. I hear the clashing of symbols, bold and passionate, surrounded by wind instruments through and around the the clashing to soften it. This is exquisite.

Yes…I do spend a lot of time on my PC. I used to hate them…then I discovered that I could use them as an extra art medium. Now I’m wrapped…should have studied graphics instead of fine art! But it’s never too late to learn. Thank you for your kind comments :-)

  • Tom Vaughan

    Tom Vaughan

I like the name you came up with—matches this wonderful image perfectly!

  • Chris Willis replied

Thanks Tom….actually, I couldn’t think of a title at first and said I was stuck. Then Whirligig (Elaine) suggested a symphony of music and shapes…and the title just came from that suggestion. Thank you again for leaving me your comment :-)

  • Colin Cartwright

    Colin Cartwright

‘Angry Stinger’ would be my suggestion, Chris. As my first impression was of a very swift movement of wings, and a warning, striped body. Insectoid – with the head and hint of compound eye. Possibly a wasp. And conveying such motion !

  • Chris Willis replied

WOW….thanks Colin….what a descriptive comment….I’m humbled by you taking the time to really see something, and put it into words. I just enjoy playing with fractals…and if something looks OK to me I upload it. I actually nearly didn’t upload this one. I wasn’t too keen on it, and yet, it’s turned out to be the most popular image I’ve put on to RB :-)

  • Chris Willis replied

Thank you very much for those kind words….I so appreciate the time you took to look at this one and the way that you have expressed how you feel about it. Strange…it’s the most popular image I ever up-loaded…and I nearly didn’t…as I didn’t think it was good enough :-)

This is just elegant. I am a big fan of your amazing work. The colors
are stunning and the title is a great fit for this piece. I miss seeing
your brilliant work in our group!!

  • Chris Willis replied

Thanks Julie…so kind of you to pay me this compliment. I am now working…bought my own little gallery so don’t have the time to get on the bubble very often. The new version of Apophysis isn’t working for me the way the previous version did. Very frustrating…so I haven’t been producing anything!! Lack of skill probably :-(

  • Julie Marks

    Julie Marks

I am delighted you opened your own little gallery. Your production
is less dependent on the program you use. Your imagination and
willingness to explore without a harsh critic (my internal critic can
be very demanding) are the traits that stimulate your exceptionally
creative artwork. Apophysics is a tool to support your amazing talent.
I have not learned photoshop and use iphoto on my Mac and comments
are made about my mastery of photoshop. What I create, especially
in my abstracts from nature from my visual acuity and iconic vision. There
are so many components that when integrated make you a remarkable
artist. Lack of skill is definitely not the problem. I think most use the software that is most comfortable and user friendly. There also is magic and the
eye of an artist that lies at the foundation of your creative imagination so
I hope you use the old version of Apophysis and share with us your
outstanding work. I would love you to upload Symphonic Movement to the
healing journey. Looking at the comments on this very “skilled” piece
reinforces my view of your wonderful work. I will stop in to view your
gallery to feel refreshed by your unique designs. Do you have a website
    for your gallery?
    is comfortable to them
