Very unsettling – so it works

Hi Mufa…I can’t remember if I thanked you for your comment…up till recently I was in the habit of sending people bubble-mails…so please accept my apologies if I’m repeating myself…..It is and was unsettling…the whole Rwanda situation….nowadays it seems to be Kenya that’s going through a similar horror…as many places all over the world are. I’m so very grateful that I live where I do….I just wanted to express my own horror that it’s happening.

Incredible Artwork, Chris!!! Rather frightened expressions with strong colours and images to accentuate the point. Well Done !!

  • Chris Willis replied

Thanks Phil…I remember when I first did this (it’s quite a large drawing/mixed media) I was feeling quite strongly about what was going on in Rwanda…had no way of making a difference…but needed to put some expression to my feelings…..This image is only half of the original drawing….I didn’t like the way I’d drawn the rest…so when I photographed it I cropped it…am happy with the way it turned out….thanks for your comment :-)
