The grandeur of Mt. Whitney, intimate details of Mono Lake, and the aged beauty of the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest are some of my favorite photographic subjects. My images rarely include people. But in each of my images, there are actually many hidden portraits. The people are there, represented by the mountains and valleys, the oceans and lakes, and especially in the hiking trails that are portals to the human spirit. This is my way of capturing a human portrait.
