Nature is my greatest Teacher.
I am currently finding my voice with the encaustic medium,an ancient technique binding pigment with beeswax and damar resin.The dynamic nature of this melting and fusing of layers is wonderful for depicting the convergence between chaos and order,the nodal point where all things happen.
The beeswax is a sacred medium to me, an alloy of heaven and earth.My pieces are more talismans than decoration,calling forth a more harmonious interface between humans and Eden.
I also do allot of what I call Interior installations or interior finishes. I post these ocasionaly as well. I love providing for my family with my art and this has definatly contributed to that end.To me they are like 3D paintings you live inside of and on.More of my work can be seen at www.gerberart.com
