Crkva Sveti Marca in Zagreb, Croatia at Easter
Parish Church of Gradec (Gornji grad i.e. upper city of Zagreb). Construction began around 1240, and is documented at 1256. The church was renovated and modifed several times.
The church received its unique roof in 1880. The coat of arms to the left represents the three crown lands Croatia, Slavonia and Dalmatia, the coat of arms to the right is that of the city of Gradec, which became later the coat of arms of Zagreb herself.
