Cappuccino I
My freeform handbags are composed of small knit & crochet “scrumbles” which are individually joined. I then start work on the embellishments. This can mean knit/crochet flowers, corkscrews and edgings, & often the addition of beads, buttons or other baubles. Finally the bag is ready for the lining to be hand stitched into place & the handles to be attached. Each bag is individual in design & the end result of many hours work.
Original bag “Here Kitty, Kitty” has been sold. Similar handbags are available in my etsy shop

I accepted this in the textures group and I think it deserves to be featured. Great detail and clarity. Ellen

Thanks so much Ellen. I was really thrilled that there was a texture group here as that’s what I love so much about textiles & fibre art.

I named this one “Here Kitty, Kitty” because it has the leopard print handles. Yep, heaps more to come…still playing catch up.
