My freeform handbags are composed of small knit & crochet “scrumbles” which are individually joined. I then start work on the embellishments. This can mean knit/crochet flowers, corkscrews and edgings, & often the addition of beads, buttons or other baubles. Finally the bag is ready for the lining to be hand stitched into place & the handles to be attached. Each bag is individual in design & the end result of many hours work.

I always loved this, from the minute i saw it …... i love the fringed stuff so much, as well as those little soft loopy coloured bits… and all the textures…. i always think of the sea..nets, seaweed … oh and of course ‘sprouts’... lol
