no I don’t think so Caroline…I just did another and i feel it lacks something. although I took it to an art market on sunday and got some good feedback (and I actually sold another painting woo hoo!)

I love this Christine.
I paint ( and draw) a lot of hands so I know how challenging it is.

thanks so much. I really enjoyed reading your article on using photographs as reference – I think you should get that published in a few of the international artists magazines!! I use a lot of photos as starting point for my paintings – with a lot of my work being photo real or as close as I’m ever going to get to it anyway! lol!! I only use my own photos though, although I have begun to use others’ work as a springboard the way artists have for centuries. I maintain that the marvellous Mr. Monet (and possibly many others) would have used photos if they lived now – or perhaps they would have been on our cutting edge as they were 100 years ago – and would have installation artists, video artists…who knows!! :):)
